Welcome to Riverside Timber Craft.
We are a husband and wife team with a passion for timber, craftsmanship and making beautiful pieces that people can enjoy in their homes for years to come.
Based in the West of Ireland, we have more than 20 years of shared carpentry experience behind us.
Riverside Timber Craft grew from that experience and from a simple idea. We wanted to create the kind of timber products that can be surprisingly difficult to find here in Ireland.
Over the years, one of the things customers have said to us again and again is:
“I’ve been looking for something like this for ages. I couldn’t find it in Ireland.”
That’s exactly the gap Riverside Timber Craft was created to fill.

Our work combines traditional woodworking skills with practical designs for real homes.
We create a growing range of handmade timber products including:
- Floating shelves and rustic wooden shelves
- Made to measure shelving
- Fireplace mantels and floating mantel shelves
- Console, hallway and dining tables
We know that homes don’t always fit standard measurements.
Sometimes you need a shelf to fit a particular alcove.
Sometimes the mantel you’ve found online isn’t available in the size you need.
Sometimes you need a console table narrow enough for an Irish hallway.
And sometimes you simply want something with more warmth and character than a mass produced piece of furniture.
That’s where we come in.
Made to Measure
One of the things we love most about woodworking is that timber gives us the freedom to make something for a particular space.
Many of our products can be made in different sizes, finishes and configurations.

Riverside Timber Craft isn’t a faceless online furniture store.
The products you see on our website come from real woodworking and manufacturing experience.
We understand timber.
We understand how pieces need to be constructed.
And we understand that when somebody orders something for their home, the details matter.
That experience has taken us in some unexpected directions too.
From Riverside Timber Craft to Irish Sauna Company
For a period, Riverside Timber Craft became much quieter while we focused our time, experience and energy on establishing another Irish manufacturing business, Irish Sauna Company.
The skills developed through years of carpentry and working with timber helped form the foundation for that next chapter.
Irish Sauna Company now designs and manufactures commercial mobile saunas and outdoor wellness products from its manufacturing facility in Corr na Móna, County Galway.
It has been an incredible journey and one that allowed us to take our experience with timber, design and fabrication into an entirely new area.
But we never lost our love for the work that started it all.
And that’s why Riverside Timber Craft is back.

After being quiet for a while, our online shop is open again and we’re taking orders.
We’re bringing back the Riverside products our customers loved while continuing to develop new pieces for Irish homes.
