They work just as well in a kitchen as they do in a bedroom, a hallway or an awkward alcove.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe finish every one with natural wax, which brings up the grain and the colour without hiding what the wood actually is.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eSolid Timber Construction\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe pick the timber ourselves, going on grain, strength and character instead of uniformity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is kiln dried before we work it, then waxed by hand, so the shelf keeps that warm, tactile feel that only real timber has.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTimber is a natural material, so grain, knots and colour shift from one shelf to the next.
